Raamen Iidashouten Yugawara Honten’s review 『らぁ麺飯田商店湯河原本店 (らぁめん いいだしょうてん)』

Double the Bliss at Iida Shoten! 🍜😋🥢

Here’s a double-helping of pure bliss from Raamen Iidashoten’s Yugawara branch! 🍜😋 First up, their popular Shoyu Tsukemen. As always, the noodles are a sight to behold—a symphony of white and black, offering both springy and rustic textures. The two dipping sauces showcase a harmonious blend of flavors, with the cold bonito-soy sauce and warm chicken-based options creating a tantalizing quartet of tastes. And don’t forget the toppings! From the flavorful sliced pork to the addictive kombu water, every element elevates this dish to the next level. To top off the experience, we couldn’t resist the Dashiwari, an exquisite broth made with bonito flakes and kelp that transforms the remaining sauce into a slurp-worthy soup. 🤤 Reservations are a must for this culinary gem, but believe me, it’s worth the effort! 😋

Review

A Blissful Start to the Year

Despite the hasty end to my updates due to a raucous New Year’s Eve party, I couldn’t resist sharing my experience at this beloved ramen shop. The つけ麺, particularly the soy sauce flavor, stood out with its contrasting white and black noodles, each with distinct textures and flavors. The dual dipping sauces, one cold and one warm, and the addition of kombu water and thinly sliced pork, elevated the experience to new heights. The toppings were equally impressive, with each bite bursting with flavor. The odashi-wari, made with a choice of bonito or niboshi, provided a satisfying and flavorful end to an unforgettable meal.

A Culinary Extravaganza

Despite the fierce competition for reservations, I eagerly anticipate my next visit to this exceptional establishment. The つけ麺, with its generous portions, offers an exceptional value. The contrast between the smooth white noodles and the rustic black noodles, each with their own unique flavor, is a testament to the chef’s artistry. The dual dipping sauces, one cold and one warm, provide a range of flavors that can be further enhanced with the provided condiments. The mid-meal addition of kombu water and thinly sliced pork adds an extra layer of complexity and enjoyment. The toppings, including slices of premium pork and chicken, are delectable on their own and serve as a delightful break from the noodles. The odashi-wari, made with a choice of bonito or niboshi, provides a flavorful and satisfying conclusion to an unforgettable meal.
